Amboseli National Park weather and Best Time to Travel
Understanding weather conditions and patterns is critical when planning for the perfect African safari adventure. The Amboseli National Park experiences a suitable hot and dry climate much of the year. Spanning mostly between June to October, and from January to early March, this is the best time to explore the Amboseli National Park. This is because the animals congregate and move around and near the water sources, allowing for convenient and better game viewing experiences.
While the advantages of visiting during the wet season running from November to early January and from March to May, include experiencing a transformed lush green landscape, among the shortcomings of this season is that the wildlife is scattered due to availability of food and water for the wildlife. Game drives are also difficult as Amboseli National Park is prone to seasonal flooding. Still, this is also the best time for birdwatching as the birdlife flourishes along other Amboseli National Park wildlife.
